Snow Removal Machine for the Highway and Transportation Department
The New Mexico State Agency for Surplus Property (SASP) acquired this snow removal machine for the Highway and Transportation Department District 4.
If purchased new, this machine would have cost the Department $200,000. By acquiring the machine through the SASP the Highway Department paid a service fee of $18,400 and invested another $10,000 in repairs and refurbishing costs for a combined total investment of $28,400. This purchase resulted in a net savings of $171,600 for the Department of Transportation and the taxpayers of New Mexico.
